Health as a right, not a privilege

By hypertargeting for preventative healthcare, we close the gaps in the world's biggest public health system — so everyone gets care.

Join our mission

Brazil's public health system provides free healthcare and hosts the world's largest public health database.

  • There's need: 8 in 10 people rely on it.

  • There’s data: electronic health records for 170 million people.

  • There's talent: 670,000+ frontline health workers.

But preventable deaths and suffering still happen because, overall:

  • Care isn't data-driven.

  • Care isn't timely.

  • Care is reactive.

That’s why we help the health system live up to its full potential.

No one should suffer or die from a preventable cause. We help build a health system that ensures they don't.

What we do

We deliver hypertargeting for preventive healthcare. By partnering with local health professionals, we help reach the highest-priority individuals and reduce preventable deaths. Our solutions identify patients who are overdue for screenings, missing appointments, or unvaccinated, and deliver actionable information to community healthcare workers, nurses, and patients.

How it works

ImpulsoGov connects to digitized health records to identify the highest-priority patients. Community healthcare workers receive prioritized lists for door-to-door visits, while cities send hyper-targeted text-message nudges to bring people into care before conditions worsen.

How we operate

We’re a non-profit organization that has already provided its solutions to more than 410 cities. We operate where a social mission meets tech-startup execution, with a world-class team drawn from technology and public health.

Physical Health

69,120 people with hypertension were actively monitored.

1,540 pregnant women received comprehensive prenatal care.

1,468 pregnant women received vital prenatal dental care.

The Challenge: More than 6 lives are lost every hour simply because at-risk patients don’t receive the preventive care they need — deaths that could be avoided through the use of ImpulsoGov’s solutions.

Our Solution: Impulso Previne is a digital platform that transforms public health data into life-saving action. It enables health teams to quickly identify at-risk patients and intervene early.

Prioritization lists for health teams: Our software highlights patients who are overdue for essential preventive services, including prenatal care, childhood vaccinations, and chronic care follow-ups, while clearly identifying which local teams are responsible for reaching them.

Text messages for citizens: We send automated mobile messages to patients who are overdue for preventive care, helping them schedule appointments and access timely treatment.

Mental Health

The Challenge: Affecting nearly 9 million people in Brazil, depression is one of the country’s most prevalent — and treatable — conditions. Yet with specialized services often focused only on severe cases, a critical treatment gap leaves most people without support.

Our Solution: We address this gap with a scalable, free training model for non-specialist health professionals, such as nurses and community health workers. We equip them with evidence-based skills to identify and manage mild to moderate depression within their communities.

This approach empowers local teams to recognize early symptoms and respond quickly, preventing mild conditions from escalating into severe crises.
